Why iOS?

IOS is the operating system that presently powers many of the company’s mobile devices, including the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. IOS has been created mainly for business purposes.

IOS provides user friendly and intuitive interface. Its based upon direct manipulation, using multi-touch gestures. Interface control elements consist of sliders, switches, and buttons. Interaction with the OS includes gestures such as swipe, tap, pinch, and reverse pinch, all of which have specific definitions within the context of the iOS operating system and its multi-touch interface.

Apple allows apps on the iPhone to be installed from only one source, their app store. This not only prevents, but completely removes any chance of tampering by third party (malicious) apps.

Reliability

The Apple libraries, such as Foundation, are very well done. Apple has put a lot of effort over the years into making them powerful and well-designed.

Easier to develop

Only a small set of hardware/OS to support. Restricted number of devices, which makes job easier for programmers. Software doesn’t need to be tested on wide range of hardwares. It’s also easier to develop in terms of UI standardization.

Integration

System IOS allows its users easy and fast integration with all devices provided by Apple.
For instance, with the Continuity feature in macOS, you can use your MacBook to send and receive text messages and even receive and place calls. All you have to do is keep your iPhone nearby.

Security

Apple integrates hardware-based security called the “Secure Enclave” which is basically a small computer with its own processor and storage that works independently from your phone’s operating system. This lets it keep all security keys on the hardware itself, keeping hackers away.
